what is on the line

If your contracts carry CUI, Level 2 is not optional. It is the condition of keeping them.

DFARS 252.204-7012 has required NIST 800-171 for years, and that clause is unchanged. CMMC makes it real, and it already has: applicable solicitations can require a current Level 2 status to win the award today, and primes are already asking their subs for a score. In July 2026 the DoD suspended CMMC Phase 2 and opened a review of the program, so the third party certification date is on hold. The requirement is not. Phase 1 self assessment has been in force since November 2025, and a false affirmation still carries False Claims Act exposure. File a solid self assessment now and you keep your work, and pick up the work of everyone who cannot. Wait, and you explain yourself to a contracting officer.

first, what we actually secure

CMMC Level 2 secures Controlled Unclassified Information. If the DoD sends you technical data, you have it.

Controlled Unclassified Information, or CUI, is sensitive government information the law says you must protect. It is one step below classified. It comes into your business on contracts that carry DFARS 252.204-7012. Protecting it means all 110 NIST 800-171 requirements. That is CMMC Level 2, and we build every one with you.

If any of this lives in your email, your CAD system, or a shared drive, you have CUI:
Controlled technical drawings or 3D models for a defense part
Specs, tolerances, or test data marked CUI or Distribution D
Export controlled engineering data (ITAR or EAR)
Anything received under a contract that carries DFARS 252.204-7012
Technical manuals, source code, or firmware for a defense system
Research data or deliverables the DoD marked controlled

And because a business that handles CUI always handles Federal Contract Information too, the 110 already contain the 15 Level 1 safeguards, your FCI posture is assessed right inside the build. Need the standalone Level 1 SPRS filing for an FCI only contract? That filing is its own package, added any time.

your command center

One platform. The whole 800-171 build, scored the way an assessor scores it.

Charlie, your compliance officer, walks every requirement in plain English and drafts your policies from your facts. He points whoever holds the admin password to the exact screen to capture. Your score runs live on the official math, your policies stay current in the Policy Center, and the Audit Room holds the whole package. You own your security, and you can see your real number any day.

honest by design

Your score is real, never inflated

Nothing marks itself MET. Evidence is reviewed, objectives are confirmed by a human tap, and the score engine runs the official 32 CFR math. When you sign, you sign something you can defend to an assessor.

documents that live

Policies that stand as evidence

Every policy is drafted from facts about your business, adopted in the Policy Center, and reviewed on a schedule. Adopted policies satisfy documentation objectives across the 110 automatically, no orphan Word files.

the better way, by the numbers

The whole 800-171 build, for a tenth of the consultant bill.

Nothing for your first 30 days. No card. Then $4,200 a month, or $35,000 a year saving $15,400 a year, your officer included, the 15 Level 1 safeguards inside the 110.

A CMMC Level 2 consultant runs $35,000 to $150,000 and takes six months to a year. When they leave, you still do not own the method. A full time compliance hire runs $78,420 a year, per the Bureau of Labor Statistics, and one person cannot hold 320 objectives in their head. The Accelerator gives you the whole build, the living documents, the honest score, and the yearly rhythm, for about what a consultant bills in a single week.

before you ask

The honest answers.

Do I actually need CMMC Level 2?+
If your contracts carry DFARS 252.204-7012, or the government sends you Controlled Unclassified Information, controlled drawings, export controlled specs, technical data on a defense article, then yes. DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171 apply to your business today, and Level 2 self assessment requirements are already appearing in applicable solicitations as a condition of award under Phase 1, which took effect in November 2025 and remains in force. Not sure? Start the free trial and the platform tells you in the first session.
DoD just suspended CMMC Phase 2. Should I wait?+
Phase 2 is paused, not cancelled. On July 13, 2026 DoD suspended the third party certification stage and launched a top to bottom review of the program, with a CMMC Reform Task Force due to report findings within 60 days. What the suspension removed is the deadline pressure, not the requirement. DFARS 252.204-7012 is unaffected, NIST SP 800-171 still applies, Phase 1 self assessment requirements remain in force, and a knowingly false affirmation still carries False Claims Act exposure. The rules are still on the books, the contracts still carry the clause, and primes are still asking their subs for a score. Waiting does not shrink the 110. It just means doing them on someone else's timeline instead of yours.
What is the difference between Level 2 self assessment and C3PAO certification?+
Same 110 requirements, two tracks. A Level 2 self assessment filed in SPRS with an annual affirmation counts where the solicitation allows it, and that is the track in force today. Certification by an accredited third party assessor (a C3PAO) was to phase in under Phase 2, which DoD suspended on July 13, 2026 pending review, so read the solicitation in front of you rather than a calendar. The Accelerator builds one package that serves both: file the self assessment where allowed, and hand the same Audit Room to a C3PAO when a contract demands it.
I am not a security engineer. Can my company really do this?+
Yes. Every one of the 110 requirements resolves through plain English questions, exactly how an assessor scores them. Charlie drafts your policies and SSP narratives from facts you give, provider walkthroughs show the exact screens to capture, and you can assign any requirement to your IT person with a secure link. You run a business, the platform runs the method.
What does it cost after the free week?+
Nothing for your first 30 days, no credit card. After that it is $4,200 a month, or $35,000 a year saving $15,400 a year. That includes the complete Level 2 workspace, with the 15 Level 1 safeguards assessed inside the 110, and a dedicated Custodia Compliance Officer on your account year round, advising, reviewing the package before anything is filed, and continuously monitoring your posture. Cancel anytime during the trial.
What happens after the 180 days?+
Your officer stays. Every CMMC Level 2 subscription includes a dedicated officer year round: they get your self assessment filed in your first 180 days, teach you the platform so it becomes how you run compliance, and then keep advising, reviewing, and monitoring every year after. You do the work on the platform, they make sure it holds up, and you keep the platform, Charlie, and every document you built.
Why is Level 2 priced higher than Level 1?+
Level 1 is 15 safeguarding requirements and a self attestation. Level 2 is 110 requirements, 320 assessment objectives, a scored SSP, a POA&M, and evidence an assessor can walk through. Consultant readiness engagements for this run $35,000 to $150,000 and take six months to a year. The Accelerator is a fraction of that, with the platform doing the heavy lifting and your evidence staying yours.
What is the 88 rule everyone mentions?+
Level 2 is scored out of 110 under 32 CFR 170.24. Every NOT MET requirement costs 1, 3, or 5 points. You can file with conditional status at 88 or better if every remaining gap is POA&M eligible, and POA&M items must close within 180 days. The platform runs this exact math live so you always know your honest number.
What if it takes longer than 180 days?+
Then we keep working with you for free until your self assessment is filed. That is The Get CUI Secure Guarantee. The pace is yours: companies with their CUI already mapped move much faster, and your officer is with you the whole 180 days either way.
Do I still need Level 1?+
The substance is already inside: the 15 Level 1 safeguards are assessed within your 110 Level 2 requirements, so nothing about your FCI is skipped. If a contract asks for a standalone Level 1 SPRS filing, that filing is its own package you can add any time, ask your officer.

One hundred eighty days of guided work stands between your business and every CUI contract you want to keep.
